Chicago Illinois This prototypical townhouse, winner in the 1999 Towhnouse Revisited Competition sponsored by the Graham Foundation, explores the impact of new domestic possibilities on a typical Chicago housing lot. Spaces in the project are organized around an open air courtyard with reflecting pool, allowing light from two directions into every room. Spatial gradations from public to private are explored and redefined in this study for an urban work/live domestic arrangement.
